The actress captioned her post with a detailed account of her experience, saying that it was not as easy and happy as it looked in the pictures. She said that she and her team faced many difficulties and dangers as they approached the summit of the mountain.

“Himalayan was the country that I can’t count how hard I’ve worked to get.”

Lee Si Young revealed that three of her team members had to give up on reaching the top because their oxygen saturation levels dropped below 50% and they could not breathe without an oxygen tank. She also confessed that she was diagnosed with altitude sickness, which is a potentially fatal condition caused by low oxygen levels at high altitudes.

“It was my first time experiencing and learning about altitude sickness and it was scary.”

Altitude sickness can cause symptoms such as headache, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, shortness of breath, loss of appetite, and insomnia. In severe cases, it can lead to pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs) or cerebral edema (swelling of the brain), which can result in coma or death.

Lee Si Young said that she had to take medication and use an oxygen tank to cope with her condition. She also said that she prayed a lot and relied on her faith to overcome the challenge.

“I prayed more than ever before. I believed in God more than ever before.”

Despite the hardships, Lee Si Young managed to reach the summit of the mountain with some of her team members. She expressed her gratitude and joy for achieving her goal.

“I’m so grateful that I was able to come back alive. I’m so happy that I was able to fulfill my dream.”
